- EUA – EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATION
With 800 members across 48 countries, EUA is the largest and most comprehensive organisation representing universities in Europe. 17 million students are enrolled at EUA member universities. As the voice of Europe’s universities EUA supports and takes forward the interests of individual institutions and the higher education sector as a whole.
EUA provides unrivalled opportunities for members to share best practice by participating in projects, events and other mutual learning activities involving a wide range of universities. EUA’s website, briefings and newsletters keep members well-informed about these activities and European developments which impact on their activities.
Above all, EUA provides members with unique opportunities to influence and shape future European policy and initiatives affecting higher education and research. Through its work and contacts with the European Commission, Parliament and other key decision-makers, EUA ensures universities’ interests and concerns are taken up with all key stakeholders.
- AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
AACSB International (AACSB), a global nonprofit association, connects educators, students, and business to achieve a common goal: to create the next generation of great leaders.
Synonymous with the highest standards of excellence since 1916, AACSB provides quality assurance, business education intelligence, and learning and development services to over 1,700 member organizations and more than 900 accredited business schools worldwide.
When educational, professional, and business organizations become members of the AACSB Business Education Alliance, they are part of a movement united to improve the quality of business education around the world. AACSB connects, shares, and inspires innovation and quality throughout the member network, as well as the business community. The collective strength of the organization is founded on diverse perspectives, a global mindset, and a commitment to making a difference.
AACSB’s mission is to foster engagement, accelerate innovation, and amplify impact in business education.
- EFMD - The Management Development Network
EFMD is a global, non-profit, membership-driven organisation dedicated to management development. It is recognised globally as an accreditation body for business schools, business school programmes, and corporate universities.
With the support of its 966 members across 90 countries, it acts as a catalyst to promote and enhance excellence in management development globally. With the network of 30,000 management professionals from academia, business, public service, and consultancies, it plays a central role in shaping global approach to management education and provides a unique forum for information, research, networking, and debate on innovation and best practice.
EFMD is a network for schools and companies that aim to develop socially responsible leaders and managers looking for opportunities to connect. Alongside the emphasis on educational standards for management education, EFMD firmly believes in bringing companies and academic institutions together and works towards facilitating and strengthening exchanges between the two.
EFMD awards accreditations: EQUIS and EPAS (Programme Accreditation System). At the moment EQUIS is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement and accreditation of business schools along AACSB. SGH is EFMD member from 2001.
- CEEMAN - International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies
CEEMAN is an international management development association established in 1993 with the aim of accelerating the growth in quality of management development in central and eastern Europe. Now it is a global network of management development institutions interested in quality of education and innovations in this field, as well as in the broad area of subjects related to change.
In 1998, the membership of CEEMAN lent its official support to the concept of creating a quality assurance and continuous improvement scheme for its members. The outcome was the establishment of the International Quality Accreditation (IQA), which was specifically designed to address the needs of business schools and other management development institutions operating in dynamically changing environments of Central and Eastern Europe.
IQA was first awarded to SGH in 2011 – for a three-year-long period, and then prolonged until 2017. The current accreditation is valid until 1 February 2024.
- EADI - European Association of Development Research and Training
EADI, the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes, is the leading European network in the field of Development Studies: With more than 100 institutional members in more than 25 countries. It organises activities and provides platforms for international networking and exchange with a strong interdisciplinary focus. EADI’s flagship events are the General Conferences every three years which bring together the wider Development Research community around a specific topic.
EADI is the prime professional association for development studies. As such it promotes:
- Quality in research and education in development studies,
- The exchange of relevant information among members and with others,
- The strengthening of relevant knowledge networks at the regional and global level,
- Influencing both national and European decision-makers in the development cooperation field.
SGH organised meetings in 1994 and 2004.
- CIRET - Centre for International Research on Economic Tendency Surveys
CIRET, the Centre for International Research on Economic Tendency Surveys, is a forum for leading economists and institutions, that conduct and analyze business and/or consumer survey data. Since 1953, CIRET promotes the exchange of knowledge not only of the theoretical, but especially of the operational aspects of economic cycle research.
As a platform, CIRET provides quick information often unavailable from official statistics such as plans, assessments and expectations of businesses and consumers.
CIRET promotes the exchange of experience between all of its members, taking account not only of the theoretical aspects of business cycle research but also the operational aspects such as the items to be questioned, the wording of questions, aggregation, implementation and harmonisation.
The development and theoretical basis of simultaneous and leading indicators of various macroeconomic aggregates is a special focus of attention.
- PRME - Principles for Responsible Management Education
The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) is a United Nations-supported initiative founded in 2007. As a platform to raise the profile of sustainability in schools around the world, PRME equips today’s business students with the understanding and ability to deliver change tomorrow.
Working through Six Principles, PRME engages business and management schools to ensure they provide future leaders with the skills needed to balance economic and sustainability goals, while drawing attention to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aligning academic institutions with the work of the UN Global Compact.
As a voluntary initiative with over 800 signatories worldwide, PRME has become the largest organised relationship between the United Nations and management-related higher education institutions.
In 2019 Professor Mikolaj Pindelski was elected Chair of PRME Chapter Central and Eastern Europe. In November 2020 Professor Agnieszka Domanska was elected Chair of newly formed PRME Chapter Poland.
- GBSN - Global Business School Network
The Global Business School Network is a nonprofit organization that partners with business schools, industry, foundations and aid agencies to improve access to quality, locally relevant management education for the developing world.
Within the context of the emerging economies mission, GBSN builds activities, programs and projects that enable the creation of new knowledge, provide meaningful international experiences, and build relationships that can transform management education, as well as provide broad visibility to its member schools as a champion and change maker for economic and social development.
GBSN international events and capacity building programs engage the network members to advise, train and mentor regional educators. And through publication, partnership and speaking opportunities GBSN advocates for the importance of management education in economic and social development efforts.
With a growing network of over 100 leading business schools on 6 continents, GBSN fosters cross-border networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration both within its network membership and with the broader business education and development communities.
